INDUS (the “Company”) is a publicly-traded real estate business (NASDAQ: INDT) principally engaged in developing, acquiring, managing and leasing industrial/warehouse properties. INDUS currently owns approximately 5.7 million square feet and is headquartered in New York City. The position provides the opportunity to work closely with a small management team at a fast-growing company in a strongly performing real estate sector.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
· Work directly with senior management to evaluate industrial real estate investment opportunities throughout the United States, including cultivating broker relationships to develop understanding and analysis of potential target markets
· Create financial models to evaluate potential new development or investment opportunities
· Assist with acquisition and physical due diligence of potential acquisitions (including property tours, rental rate analysis, review of contracts, preparing budgets, gathering consultants)
· Preparation of investment committee memos and other reporting to senior management as needed
· Monitor and analyze the financial performance of properties
· Perform and/or assist with special projects as needed by management
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Must have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting or a related field with GPA of 3.5 or higher
· 1 to 2 years of prior experience working with industrial real estate acquisitions highly preferred
· Must have high proficiency with Argus, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
· Advanced modeling and formatting skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must
· Must have strong quantitative skills, attention to detail and be reliable, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Must have the ability to function both in a team-oriented setting and independently
· Must be professional, energetic, and positive with a strong sense of personal motivation, responsibility, and entrepreneurship
· Must exhibit superior interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent research skills; aptitude to understand dynamics of various markets/submarkets, economic conditions, & financial markets
· The ability to provide a point of view and challenge the status quo is critical, as is the humility to admit mistakes and a desire to learn from others; must recognize the benefits of diverse perspectives
· Must have a growth mindset with the flexibility and openness to continue learning, evolving and growing as an analyst
