Analyst/Associate, Capital Markets

Job Summary: Analyst will support the CRE Capital Markets team, which primarily focuses on all pricing, syndication, and financing for the real estate investment lending business. Additionally, the Capital Markets team supports various corporate/risk strategy and management activities for the company. The Analyst will generally be working on duties outlined below:

Location: San Francisco, CA

Job Duties and Responsibilities*:

• Support all aspects of floating rate CMBS and CLO securitization including new issuance, CLO management, and reinvestments.
• Assist with all aspects of loan pricing including pitching deals, syndication, and financing.
• Analysis and modeling of investment cash flows, financing cost of funds, and equity  IRRs.
• Assist with the pledge process of warehouse line financing.

• Support in the management of liquidity and other corporate finance issues.

• Coordinate various management reporting generally focused on the company’s liquidity and pipeline.
• Analyze commercial mortgage REIT competitor’s warehouse capabilities and securitization activities.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Understanding of commercial real estate underwriting, documentation, terms, structures, property types, and markets preferred.
• Well-developed analytical skills with strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, work closely with others as well as independently to produce accurate, detailed work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Self-starter and self-motivated.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel, is a must. Knowledge of VBA is helpful but not required.

Education and Experience:

• 1 to 3 years experience in commercial real estate. Direct experience in underwriting, syndication, capital markets is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree with a focus in Finance or Economics preferred.
