Job Description
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring assigned investment fund is managed in accordance with the fund documents including the LPA, loan documents, side letters and any governing authorities. Prepare Fund Monthly Asset Plans, quarterly performance reports, and fund level distributions and capital calls.
- Build and maintain excel fund-level models that roll-up property-level activity to a fund-level view that will forecast cash flows and calculate IRRs, EMs, management fees and carried interest.
- Responsible for ensuring fund-level projections are accurate and up to date with the latest property level strategies provided by asset management. Collaborate with asset management to ensure property level waterfalls, liquidation analyses, and fund-level information, such as the forecasted carried interest and management fees are calculated accurately. Run fund level sell hold sensitivities on an as needed basis.
- Prepare marketing materials including pitchbooks, investor presentations, fund brochures and materials for the annual investor meeting.
- Track and respond to investor requests in a timely manner following through to ensure resolution.
- Participate in the ongoing property and fund level asset strategy exercise by providing Asset Management and Capital Transactions thoughtful feedback with respect to projected fund performance through the calculations of IRR’s and other metrics as requested.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Business, Finance or a related field from a four-year college or university.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and analytical skills as evidenced by a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related function.
- Basic understanding of financial statements as evidenced by a minimum of 2 years of experience in a related function.
- Ability to read and interpret complex legal documents will be an essential component of managing your assigned investment fund.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ideal Experience & Credentials:
- MBA or Chartered Financial Analyst (C.F.A.) designation helpful.
