The Community Development Department is comprised of the following operational areas: Community Planning, Comprehensive Planning, Plat Review, Building Inspections and the Fire Marshal. Snoqualmie’s new Community Development Director will oversee a team of 7 staff members (Building Official, 2 Senior Planners, Associate Planner, Planning Technician, Permit Technician and an Inspector.) The 2021 operational budget was $2,132,885.
Key projects and priorities include: Talent Acquisition & Retention, Economic Development, Business Retention & Expansion, Municipal Code Review/Update, and managing some very exciting projects such as the Mill Site Property, Sigillo Cellars and the Riverwalk.
The minimum educational requirement for this position is a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in urban and land-use planning, public administration or a related field AND six (6) years of management or supervisory experience in economic development, planning and zoning or a related field.
A combination of related education and experience that demonstrates candidate’s knowledge, skill, and ability to perform essential duties of the position may be considered.
The salary range for this position is $136,596 to $151,756 DOQ.
