Job Description

Associate, Lease Administration for a full-service real estate company. The Associate, Lease Administration will report directly to the Principal of the firm. In order to ensure absolute accuracy relative to lease terms, the candidate who is hired will work to ensure that all new leases accurately reflect the negotiated terms, that all new modifications are recorded and executed properly and that documents are available to the Principals and other interested parties on a timely basis.

Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing all lease abstracts and ensuring that the information is accurate and that leases are executed properly
- Reviewing lease modifications/renegotiations, incorporating the information into the lease document and executing the revised document
- Contacting Property Management about tenant improvements or other property fit outs or construction projects stipulated as part of a lease negotiation
- Notifying the Principals within agreed upon timeframes when leases are expected to terminate

Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in Lease Administration working on commercial real estate leases
- Minimum of 3 years relevant work experience with a significant proportion of that time spent in the commercial real estate industry
- Familiarity with the NYC metropolitan commercial market
- Ability to read and understand legal documents (especially complex commercial leases)
- Strong detail orientation
- Solid writing skills
- Ability to apply appropriate wording when lease terms are renegotiated
- Ability to multi-task and to remain composed when sudden and quick turn-around of documents is required
- Ability to process work quickly
- Achievement oriented self-starter with strong work ethic
- Collaborative and team oriented
- Flexible personality willing to change priorities as the situation demands
