Wallis Annenberg PetSpace  has an exciting career opportunity for an Operations & Facilities Coordinator who will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance and operations of Annenberg PetSpace (30,000 sf of building space and 7,500 sf of green space), including security and logistical oversight. The following is a summary of responsibilities for this position:

  • Assist in maintaining the facility’s building and fenced/private area of the grounds in accordance with lease provision.
  • Assess and perform building interior repairs, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing and IT/AV in accordance with appropriate building codes, lease restrictions and environment requirements
  • Monitor and ensure proper functioning of equipment and vehicles, assure maintenance of appropriate equipment/vehicle records and logs, including repairs, regular maintenance, and vendor contracts and performance
  • Monitor and ensure proper functioning of IT/AV services for building
  • Ensure environmental compliance and monitoring for the building
  • Ensure a safe and clean work environment for both guests, staff and animals of the building.
  • Oversite of custodial needs for facility, including but not limited to: Floor maintenance, window-cleaning, restrooms and all areas dealing with animals and pets in providing a safe and healthy atmosphere for the animals and for visitors in accordance with operational best practices
  • Perform outdoor maintenance in compliance with lease provisions, including mowing, weeding, sweeping and leaf blowing
  • In coordination with the Operations & Facilities Manager, ensure for safety and security for Annenberg PetSpace through means of overseeing security contractors while also maintaining security systems and protocols.
  • Create and maintain IPP and safety logs and conduct regular IPP training and safety meetings. Coordinator will also be the main contact for the employee Safety Committee which will meet quarterly.
  • Preform preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment, including the interior and exterior of the building, human and animal systems.
  • Ensure LEED compliance, healthy building material compliance and ordering of approved cleaning supplies and hardware.
  • Assist in preparation of budgets, forecasts and prepares management reports, as required, for services and vendor contracts.
  • Manage overall spending through annual budgets, capital improvement projects and daily repairs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Bachelors’ Degree preferred in building operations, facilities maintenance or engineering field and at least 3+ years of experience in a Facility/Operations role in a similar environment, or a combination of education & experience
