About the role:
CBRE is looking for a dedicated Commissioning Agent / MEP Construction Manager for our Palm Beach Gardens Florida area. This person will need to reside in the surrounding area.
The Commissioning Agent provides oversight as an Owner's Rep of ground up construction projects focused on MEP coordination, installation and overseeing Owner's 3rd party commissioning agents. Direct and coordinate with the designer and contractor the installation execution of the MEP systems and the commissioning process from concept design through functional testing of systems to post occupancy verification.
What you'll do:
- Verify that designed, installed, and tested plant and equipment satisfies the environmental performance criteria specified.
- Write the commissioning section of contract documents and/or reviews work produced by others.
- Perform project design review during the design process; identifies discrepancies and monitors action plans.
- Monitor and perform quality assurance of contractor installation and verification of project requirements.
- Coordinate and execute work with Owner vendors.
- Recommend approval to client and documents work performed by the design team, contractors and commissioning agents.
- Review control systems software and sequence of operation to meet required sequences of operation. directs onsite system testing and monitoring of complex and integrated systems.
- Monitor and leads all aspects of 3rd party documentation of hypothetical scenarios to achieve optimum operations performance and control responses.
What you'll need:
Bachelor's degree in relevant building science, or equivalent, plus appropriate continuing education or 2 years commissioning experience.
Fundaments in Engineering (FE) or equivalent, LEED AP, BCA CCP, OSHA 10-hour Construction Safety, Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent
Experience with corporate office facilities and campus with a central energy plant, life science, laboratory, health care facilities is preferred.
