ABOUT THE ROLE

Advises and provides overall strategic management of the global governance, risk and compliance program for the Account. Responsible for the overall compliance of Service Line Organization controls, reviews/audits, policies and procedures, Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity plans. Develops, implements and carry outs account compliance globally, ensuring quality while mitigating risk to our clients and the Company. Handles the relationship with internal & external auditors globally as needed. Drives a culture of responsibility, ownership and awareness around risk and compliance

WHAT YOU'LL DO

The Account Global Governance, Risk and Compliance Lead provides management across the account in all aspects of risk, compliance, and KPI management.

Essential duties include but not limited to, act as a partner for the Service Line Leads and teams to ensure that risk, compliance and performance management requirements are fully understood.

Ensure delivery of high-class reporting and presentations to the clients across the account in all aspects of risk, compliance, and performance management.

Lead client vendor relations as needed, Provide mentorship on playbook processes & standard methodologies ensuring global consistency and compliance, maintain major business review meetings schedule & documentation, Compliance Corner & education communications, ensure KPI Reporting and CSAT Resolution by Service Line, conduct Governance Huddles w/ Service Line Operations.

Provide monthly updates for the leadership team advising on upcoming reviews, completed reviews, action plans needed for any non-compliance issues and challenges. Take the lead for partner concern of risks / non-compliance issues where required across all work streams.

Deliver contract management, compliance & risk management, policy & process documents and any account assurance activities. This includes review & analysis of issue/ theme, root causes across service lines, Track and Support RFPs & Major service line contract renewals, Management of Account Performance Dashboard, POC for using Risk, Legal & Platform SMEs.

Ensure coordinated account audit preparedness and act as the single point of contact on behalf of CBRE for any audits (internal, external, client-specific).

Ensure compliance w/ Client Policies, Account Policy & Procedure Development & Enforcement, Developing a process for issue of risks, Remediation & Client Reporting, Proactively Monitor Contract Compliance requirements and audit Management. (i.e. To act as the single point of contact for audit activities, to ensure all audits are completed fully, relevant evidence and information are shared, with the ultimate aim of minimizing findings).

Ensure audit preparedness of the account by conducting proactive training, compliance assessments, vendor risk assessments, reviewing the risk registers and other activities.

Provide Leadership, continuous improvement and governance across the account to all service lines and act as a strategic advisor for all governance and compliance responsibilities such as identifying self-identified issues on the account and work with CBRE account collaborators to remediate such issues by providing strategic problem solving.

Participate in CBRE Center of Excellence community of practice calls and collaborate to bring thought leadership & consultant standard processes to the client.

Owns the planning, organization, and controls for a major functional area or department. May be responsible for a mix of direct and matrix reports.

Approves subordinate's recommendations for staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination. Effectively recommends the same for direct reports to next level management for review and approval.

Monitors appropriate staffing levels and reports on utilization and deployment of human resources. Leads and supports staff in areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising and rewarding performance, and retention.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Minimum of 15 years professional level accounting experience with Service Organization Controls audits and reporting.

CPA preferred.

Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms, principles, and compliance.

Ability to analyze the most complex business/financial data and develop innovative solutions.

Develops and implements financial and procedures.

Approves and leads all aspects of department budget.

Requires experienced knowledge of global real estate accounting practices and global expertise of Service Organization Controls compliance.

Sophisticated knowledge of computer software (i.e. Google Documents, Microsoft Office Suite Products).

Sophisticated social skills, attention to detail.

Ability to work well under pressure with proactive approach to routine and non-routine occurrences.

Understanding and interpretation of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve complete results.

Responsible for setting project department and/or division deadlines.

The minimum salary for the Senior Director, Risk, Compliance, and Governance position is $156,000 annually and the maximum salary for the Senior Director, Risk, Compliance, and Governance position is $260,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE's applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental Insurance, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, and Vision Insurance.
