Job Description

Our client is seeking to hire a seasoned Chief Operating Officer / Director of Development with a
background in high-end residential construction and a proven track record of success and leadership to
join our team of high-performing development and construction professionals to lead operations in the
South Florida market.Supporting the CEO, you will be the second in command, leading the implementation of our vision and
value.


The COO / Director of Development must have the following qualifications:

  •  Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master’s desired
  • Proven experience as a leader with 10+ years of progressively responsible experience
  • Architecture / Construction industry experience
  • Experience working on large scale projects with multifaceted and phases
  • Strong understanding of finance and performance management principles
  • In-depth knowledge of corporate governance and general management best practices
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding organizational and leadership skills
The COO / Director of Development will have the following responsibilities and duties: 
  • Oversee the Company’s daily operations, ensuring all goals and objectives are met or exceeded
  • Maintain and develop meaningful business partnerships with consultants, partners, and
  • community figures
  • Formulate the Company’s future direction and support tactical initiatives
  • Develop and promote the firm's vision, mission, and core values with a specific focus on
  • exceptional quality
  •  Establish and direct the implementation of the strategic business plans, positioning the Company for growth and profitability.
  •  Develop technical financial advice and knowledge to the Finance function, providing timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports and financial trends in order to assist management in performing their responsibilities
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization,
  •  Optimize the handling of bank and financing relationships and initiate appropriate strategies to enhance position
  • Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce policies and procedures of the organization
  • Support motivation of employees in the organization
  • Interface between the Company and the community
  • Highly developed analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
