As Director of Content Marketing - Investment Management with Hines, you will be responsible for creating content for financial professionals, their clients and institutional investors to promote Hines-sponsored investment offerings. The Director of Content Marketing - Investment Management will plan, execute, and continuously evaluate our content publishing strategies that align with these audiences and our internal stakeholders. You will work closely with the Hines Research team to develop and then write compelling and pithy content for investors. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Strategy Leader: Develop and implement a holistic content strategy that increases engagement with external audiences.

  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar to ensure continuous and proactive distribution
  • Keep track of KPIs to measure the effectiveness of our content; ensure that the content is helping drive our business goals
  • Optimize content according to the latest SEO best practices and ensure all content adheres to brand standards, brand voice, and core values
  • Explore AI tools to provide scale for content creation

Writing/Editing: Develop content to attract financial professionals and investors, using prose and graphics.

  • Write and edit an array of externally facing content assets of various lengths, including articles, white papers, video scripts, social media posts, etc. Able to create engaging content from scratch by researching, developing positions and then crafting
  • Work closely with the Hines Research team and its proprietary frameworks to leverage their findings to produce / update external content
  • Leverage industry trends, the Hines brand and value propositions, to ensure quality and relevance in content creation
  • Interview stakeholders or sources whose input should be reflected in content
  • Help support positioning and other messaging requests

Stakeholder Coordination: Work with Hines research to develop and edit ideas as well as various internal stakeholders to obtain necessary approvals.


Minimum Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required; MBA, CFA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • Eight-plus years of content marketing with experience in real estate and financial services industries.

  • Excellent writing and editing skills, including journalistic storytelling skills; understanding of how to craft engaging content from complex research.

  • Technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Ability to travel 25%.
