Job Description
The Asset Manager will have overall responsibility and ownership of a loan portfolio for various lenders with asset types including office, industrial, retail, multifamily, self-storage, and hotels. Candidate will serve as primary contact to borrowers and as an intermediary between borrowers and lenders.
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders by responding promptly and effectively to basic and complex loan inquiries. Problem-solve inquiries as needed.
- Accurately and efficiently analyze financial statements including identifying and researching variances and normalizing to required standards.
- Evaluate health of assets using Debt Coverage Ratio, rent roll vacancy and tenant rollover, maturity, and physical risk metrics for designated portfolio.
- Identify and monitor watchlist loans based on CREFC or lender-specific watchlist criteria.
- Review and process time-sensitive transactions including construction/bridge loan draws.
- Analyze and facilitate consent requests including reserve disbursements, lease reviews, ownership transfers, insurance losses, condemnations, management company changes, easements, partial releases, and guaranty releases.
- Abstract legal documents and review appraisals.
- Identify, comprehend, and monitor the performance of key loan covenants and due dates.
- Review insurance Acords for compliance.
- Compile and review market information from Costar and other publications as needed.
- Review and perform property inspections.
- Manage random projects as assigned.
Previous Experience:
- 5 years commercial mortgage banking, commercial loan servicing or commercial real estate
- 5 years annual operating statement analysis
- 2 years relationship building/customer service with owners and lenders
- CREFC Coding and Methodology for Analyzing Property Income Statements
- Commercial lines insurance experience a plus
- Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/FHA multifamily servicing a plus
- McCracken Strategy a plus
Skills, Technology:
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Effective oral and written communication abilities
- Managing multiple assignments in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent organizational and follow-up competencies
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook/Adobe Acrobat DC
- Cloud storage platforms experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree, Business, Finance, Accounting
