Development Director

Cord Meyer Development Company is a 120-year-old Queens based owner/developer with assets throughout the NY Metro area.  With a vision that has guided us throughout our history, we develop for and with the communities we serve to craft extraordinary places to live, work, shop, and more.

We are searching for a Development Director to manage development efforts on several multi-family and mixed-use projects throughout Queens, the NY Metro area, and beyond. The Development Director will be responsible for overseeing all phases of development, including initial concept, entitlements, financing, construction, lease-up, and close-out.

• Determine project feasibility, including entitlement strategy, financial analysis, market feasibility, due diligence review
• Oversee the entitlement process, working closely with architects, engineers, attorneys, other consultants, local officials and stakeholders
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and internal reporting
• Liaise with internal construction and leasing departments
• Identify new opportunities for development and redevelopment
• Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications
Education
• Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in a technical field such as engineering, construction, or architecture preferred
• Master’s degree in Business Administration or Real Estate is a plus

Experience and Skills
• 7-10 years of experience in a real estate field such as development, construction, architecture, or engineering
• Advanced written and verbal communication skills
• Well organized, independent work ethic with strong attention to detail
• Highly motivated and independent worker
• Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam; Yardi Voyager is a plus
