Our company is an insititutionally backed fast growing real estate specialty lender focused on providing shor and long-term credit solutions to residential real estate investors throughout the country.
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Associate or Director to join our Asset Management team, focused on the performance and oversight of a portfolio of residential investor loans, including Residential Transitional Loans, DSCR rental loans, and Small Balance Multifamily loans. This role will work closely with servicing, credit, capital markets, and origination teams to manage risk, optimize performance, and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- • Manage an active loan portfolio by monitoring borrower performance, collateral health, and business plan execution
- • Track key performance indicators such as DSCR, occupancy, renovation progress, and exit timing across asset types
- • Identify and address early warning signs, defaults, or covenant breaches in coordination with servicing and credit teams
- • Lead asset-level resolution strategies including extensions, modifications, and payoffs
- • Maintain detailed performance reporting, valuations, reserve tracking, and site inspections
- • Participate in loan sale prep, investor reporting, and securitization processes as needed
- • Support diligence and onboarding for new loan acquisitions
- • Collaborate cross-functionally to improve asset surveillance and operational controls
- • 5–10+ years of experience in real estate asset management or loan servicing, with exposure to residential investor loans or non-QM residential lending
- • Deep understanding of real estate-backed credit, including SFR, multifamily (2–20 units), and transitional loans
- • Strong analytical skills in loan performance, cash flows, and collateral valuation
- • Experience managing value-add, renovation, or construction assets preferred
- • Familiarity with servicing platforms, Excel, and loan/asset management tools
- • Clear, effective communication skills with the ability to interface with borrowers, legal, and senior stakeholders
- • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree a plus
