Job Description
Desired skills and experience include:
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree in business or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant development or real estate experience. Multifamily experience preferred.
- Highly organized and proven ability to work effectively within a team environment to drive its success.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-starter and highly motivated.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Travel as needed for project or company-related tasks and meetings.
- Lead day-to-day project management of projects, including communication and coordination with internal teams and third-party consultants.
- Underwrite projects and maintain updated financial models and budgets of ongoing projects. Track and analyze industry/market trends/comps to influence underwriting.
- Manage due diligence process collaboratively with internal teams and external consultants.
- Assist in RFP and contracting process for all consultants (architects, engineers, etc.)
- Assist in the management of the entitlement process with municipal staff to actively problem solve while preparing responses to comments and presentations to municipal authorities.
- Coordinate and participate in design, construction, and leasing/property management meetings through delivery and/or disposition.
- Coordinate and lead internal project update meetings. Track and report on project schedules; budgets; and status of entitlements, design and operations to senior management.
- Prepare investment packages for partners and investors to secure necessary project approvals.
- Assist with the financial closing in conjunction with partners, lenders, legal counsel, and other project team members.
- Prepare progress reports for partners, investors, and senior management to update on project status including financial metrics.
- Review draw packages for accuracy and compare to appliable proposals/contracts.
- Provide support to construction during construction phase.
- Manage project to completion including rent commencement/lease-up, development budget reconciliations, and project close-out.
- Assist with analysis and underwriting of new opportunities.
