Job Description
Responsible for the financial analysis and closing of Low Income Housing Tax Credit real estate equity investments within R4 Capital’s Acquisitions group. R4 Capital specializes in helping developers and investors take advantage of tax credit opportunities by investing in properties that generate Low Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and Historic Tax Credits.
Primary job responsibilities include:
· Completing Excel financial projections to structure and price LIHTC transactions.
· Completing investment packages used to gain internal approval for equity investments These packages include, but are not limited to, underwriting the development sponsor, development pro forma, development financing, real estate, market, construction risks, and IRS Section 42 compliance.
· Managing the collection and review of due diligence materials related to real estate closings.
· Working in a team environment that will require effective coordination and communication with developers, internal closing teams, and asset management.
· Travel to meet with customers and analyze real estate.
Basic Qualifications:
· Low income housing tax credit experience.
· Proficient with Microsoft Excel, to include a high level of proficiency with financial modeling.
· Excellent writing skills.
Preferred Skills:
· Bachelor's and/or graduate degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or Accounting.
· Multifamily real estate development, underwriting, and/or closing experience.
R4 considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate’s education, training, qualifications, and experience. The minimum salary for the full-time Financial Analyst position is $70,000 annually and the maximum salary for the position is $90,000 annually. In addition, all full-time employees are eligible for a discretionary bonus and to participate in various benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and 401K matching, in each case in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
