PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Senior Analyst on the multifamily Acquisition team, you will be working on a variety of multifamily projects and transactions.  The Senior Analyst will be responsible for evaluating potential equity investments by conducting market research as well as pro forma modeling and analysis.  This role will also include assisting the Acquisition team with all transactional and due diligence processes.  The role will use various modeling and analytical techniques to evaluate pricing and feasibility of potential investments and prepare investment memorandums to present internally to senior management.  The position will be based in Atlanta, GA and will include substantial travel.
 
The responsibilities and role will include the following:  
 
·       Perform real estate pro-forma modeling and analysis in Excel to determine viability of potential acquisition and development equity investments

·       Monitor and analyze key economic and demographic trends in identified target markets

·       Perform detailed market research and analysis in identified target markets, monitoring key trends in economic drivers and real estate capital markets

·       Prepare detailed investment memorandums and present to investment committee comprised of senior management

·       Assist in all aspects of the transactional and due diligence process of potential investments, including managing documentation, site visits, Sponsor interface, and coordination of third-party diligence and legal, through the closing of the transaction

·       Assist other groups within the organization, including asset management and investment teams working on other product types, on an as needed basis.

 
QUALIFICATIONS

·         2+ years of work experience in finance or investment.  Real estate work experience is strongly preferred, particularly in multifamily investment

·         Strong financial analysis and MS Excel modeling skills

·        Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Basic understanding of all aspects of property investment, including but not limited to market analysis, financial analysis including property valuation, capital markets, project budgeting and scheduling

·         Highly developed interpersonal skills and abilities; demonstrating confidence in building and effectively maintaining positive relationships with clients, partners, developers and co-workers

·         High attention to detail and accuracy in composing communications, proofing of data, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines

·         Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
