Summary
Brandywine Realty Trust is seeking a strategic and results driven leader to serve as Chief Leasing Officer
(CLO). This role is responsible for driving leasing activity and revenue growth across our office, and retail
platforms. This executive leader will focus on expanding deal sourcing activities, leading and mentoring
our leasing agents, increasing profitability, expanding market share, and developing, maintaining and
strengthening relationships with key clients within the Commercial Real Estate sector. The CLO will
collaborate with the other Brandywine team members to align sales, marketing, leasing, and client services
to maximize leasing activity and revenue potential.
In the commercial real estate industry, client outreach and non-traditional revenue sourcing is crucial for
tenant retention, securing new clients, maintaining a positive brand reputation, and drive Net Operating
Income. The CLO is instrumental in articulating a compelling narrative for the company, ensuring that its
properties stand out in a competitive market. This leadership role requires a balance of creativity, strategic
thinking, and operational oversight.

Responsibilities
Revenue Growth & Strategy:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive revenue strategy to maximize leasing activity to drive the company’s NOI.
  • Proactively anticipate market and customer trends to optimize deal sourcing and revenue generation.
Sales & Business Development:
  • Lead and manage the leasing team, establish goals and KPIs to maximize deal flow and revenue potential.
  • Foster relationships with brokers, developers, and clients to drive revenue growth.
  • Expand the company’s market and brand presence.
Marketing & Brand Positioning:
  • Partner with marketing and property teams to enhance property and brand visibility to attract new business.
  • Ensure alignment between leasing and marketing teams to support leasing activity and revenue goals.
Operational & Financial Leadership:
  • Optimize pricing, leasing structures, and property positioning to maximize returns.
  • Drive efficiencies in sales processes, Customer Retention Management (CRM) systems, and reporting for improved decision-making.
Leadership & Team Management:
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing leasing teams.
  • Foster a results-driven culture with accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the CEO, and other executives to align leasing priorities and revenue initiatives with corporate strategy.
Required Skills & Expertise
  • Real Estate Knowledge: Extensive experience in commercial real estate particularly in office leasing, with an in depth understanding of distinguishing property types, leasing, and sales strategies.
  • Sales & Business Development Expertise: Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of high-performance leasing agents.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and team management skills to guide a diverse leasing team and effectively interact with the company’s Sr. Leadership Team.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to think long-term, completely understand the competitive set, and develop strategies to maximize leasing performance.
  • Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, marketing & sales research, and performance tracking tools.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 20+ years of experience in commercial real estate, with a proven track record in managing leasing teams in various product types and markets.
  • Strong understanding of leasing, sales, asset management, and marketing.
  • Expertise in market analysis and deal structuring.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience with Customer Retention Management systems, sales automation, and data-driven decision-making.
