We are currently seeking an Investments Analyst to join BMC’s acquisitions team. This role will focus on underwriting multifamily and mixed-use acquisition and development opportunities across the United States, conducting market research, and assisting with transactions, financings, and dispositions. The position offers broad exposure to all phases of the investment lifecycle and is ideal for someone seeking to build a strong foundation in real estate investments.
- Underwrite and model potential acquisition and development opportunities.
- Research market trends, supply/demand dynamics, and competitive positioning.
- Create investment materials, presentations, and recommendations for leadership.
- Assist in due diligence, financing, and closing processes.
- Perform ad hoc analysis to support strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with portfolio and asset management team for existing multifamily and mixed-use properties.
- Some travel to target investment markets will be required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or related field.
- 1–2 years’ experience in real estate investment, acquisitions, development, brokerage, lending, or appraisal.
- Strong Excel skills and ability to build investment models (IRR, DCF, proformas, sources & uses).
- Competence working in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word.
- Clear and concise communication skills — written and verbal.
- Curiosity, resourcefulness, and a drive to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
- Interest in multifamily and mixed-use investment strategies.
