Position Overview
Eagle Rock is seeking an experienced and driven VP of Acquisitions with 8+ years of multifamily investment experience to join a dynamic five person acquisition team within a 20 person boutique investment management business. The VP will play a critical role in sourcing, underwriting, structuring, and closing new investment opportunities consistent with the firm’s value-add strategy in suburban markets across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.

The Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years of multifamily real estate investments.
- Desire to be part of nimble, 5 person acquisition team
- Deep experience in sourcing and closing deals within target MSAs, Northeast and Mid Atlantic
- Existing broker relationships within the Northeast and Mid Atlantic
- Has run full-cycle transactions, from broker engagement through investment committee approval and close.
- Thrive in fast-paced environment and are excited by being in “trains, planes and automobiles” on last minute notice
- Desire direct exposure to executive decision-makers.
- Collaborative, follow a “leave your ego at the door” approach.
- Experience investing at a multifamily operating platform preferred
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure
Key Responsibilities
- Lead deal sourcing efforts through broker networks and principal-to-principal outreach
- Underwrite value-add, suburban workforce housing deals aligned with Eagle Rock’s risk/return profile.
- Present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee with full ownership of financial modeling, comps and business plan strategy.
- Oversee due diligence, third-party coordination, and closing process across legal, asset management, and construction teams.
- Continuously monitor submarket performance, rent trends, cap rates, and new supply risks across the portfolio.
Required Experience
- Deep knowledge of value-add investment strategies, lease-up modeling, debt structures, and capex planning.
- Proficient in Excel underwriting models, CoStar/Yardi Matrix, and market research tools.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with prior Investment Committee-facing experience.
- Bachelor’s degree
