Job Description
Frontier Development & Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced, deal-oriented professional to serve as Director – Hotel Acquisitions & Development. This individual will source, underwrite, and execute branded hotel investments and development projects across key U.S. markets.
About Frontier
- Washington, D.C. – 1.2M SF public-private waterfront mixed-use development adjacent to the planned $3.7B Washington Commanders RFK stadium.
- Philadelphia, PA – 820,000 SF adaptive reuse and new construction project (Museum Row) featuring a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel, residential tower, retail, and cultural facilities.
- Downtown D.C. – Cambria Downtown Convention Center Hotel conversion to Hyatt House with REALM rooftop lounge (opening October 2025).

- Source, underwrite, negotiate, and close branded hotel investments (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, etc.).
- Lead the full lifecycle of transactions: financial modeling, due diligence, entitlements, design coordination, and closing.
- Support the development execution—managing architects, consultants, contractors, and municipal stakeholders—to ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and underwriting assumptions.
- Provide hotel asset-management support to enhance profitability of existing investments.
- Prepare investment memos and present to internal leadership and external capital partners.
- Respond to RFPs and lead public-private development proposals with municipalities and government partners.
- Support capital raising and financing efforts, including preparation of offering materials and interaction with equity investors and lenders.
- Negotiate key agreements such as purchase and sale contracts, joint ventures, hotel management agreements, and development agreements.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers, brand development teams, lenders, and municipal officials to generate and advance opportunities.
- Represent Frontier at industry conferences and networking events.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, hospitality management, or related field required; MBA or MS in real estate preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in hotel acquisitions and/or development.
- Proven ability to source and execute transactions independently.
- Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills (Excel).
- Strong negotiation and project management capabilities.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Existing Mid-Atlantic or national hospitality industry relationships a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to prioritize and execute in a lean team environment.
- Collaborative and team-oriented while capable of independent decision making.
- Passion for hospitality and community-impact development.
