Position Overview

Frontier Development & Hospitality Group is seeking an experienced, deal-oriented professional to serve as Director – Hotel Acquisitions & Development. This individual will source, underwrite, and execute branded hotel investments and development projects across key U.S. markets.
The Director will manage transactions from initial sourcing through closing and development oversight, working directly with the CEO and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. This is an opportunity to play a visible role in expanding a dynamic, entrepreneurial hospitality platform with a $320M+ portfolio and a robust development pipeline.

Key Responsibilities
Acquisitions & Development Execution
  • Source, underwrite, negotiate, and close branded hotel investments (Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, etc.).
  • Lead the full lifecycle of transactions: financial modeling, due diligence, entitlements, design coordination, and closing.
  • Support the development execution—managing architects, consultants, contractors, and municipal stakeholders—to ensure projects meet budget, schedule, and underwriting assumptions.
  • Provide hotel asset-management support to enhance profitability of existing investments.
  • Prepare investment memos and present to internal leadership and external capital partners.
  • Respond to RFPs and lead public-private development proposals with municipalities and government partners.
Capital Markets & Partnerships
  • Support capital raising and financing efforts, including preparation of offering materials and interaction with equity investors and lenders.
  • Negotiate key agreements such as purchase and sale contracts, joint ventures, hotel management agreements, and development agreements.
Relationship Development
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with brokers, brand development teams, lenders, and municipal officials to generate and advance opportunities.
  • Represent Frontier at industry conferences and networking events.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, hospitality management, or related field required; MBA or MS in real estate preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in hotel acquisitions and/or development.
  • Proven ability to source and execute transactions independently.
  • Advanced financial modeling and underwriting skills (Excel).
  • Strong negotiation and project management capabilities.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Existing Mid-Atlantic or national hospitality industry relationships a plus.
