Job Description
- Collect and interpret real estate market data, economic indicators, and long-term secular trends to support strategic analysis.
- Monitor macroeconomic developments and assess their impact on real estate markets.
- Develop forward-looking models and scenario analyses to support investment strategy and portfolio decisions.
- Create compelling charts and visualizations to communicate insights and trends.
- Prepare regular market reports, presentations, and ad hoc analysis for senior leadership.
- Update and maintain group resources including slide decks, databases, etc.
- Partner with internal teams to advance strategic initiatives, serving as a key liaison between ISR and IT to facilitate the collection and integration of large-scale data sets.
- Stay current on industry trends and market dynamics.
Skills and Competencies:
- All candidates must have a BA or BS degree from an accredited institution, with preferred degrees in real estate, finance, business, economics, data science, or related area. Strong academic credentials required.
- 3–7 years of experience in real estate analysis, market research, or economic forecasting.
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills with an ability to identify patterns and trends.
- Proven analytical skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and data visualization tools.
- Experience with real estate databases and research platforms (e.g., CoStar, CBRE EA, Green Street, Moody’s Analytics).
- Experience collecting, cleaning, and structuring datasets to support research and reporting needs.
- Ability to leverage data analytics, scripting, and automation tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL) to enhance data ingestion, transformation, and visualization processes supporting investment research and strategy development.
- Experience collaborating with IT and data teams to implement and optimize cloud-based data infrastructure and business intelligence platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI, Tableau), improving accessibility and efficiency of research and forecasting workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-starter with a proactive mindset, strong attention to detail, and ability to manage projects simultaneously, while working cross-functionally with multiple teams.
- Strong storytelling skills using data to influence decision-making.
