Analyst – Development and Acquisitions
Leftbank Holdings is a private-equity real estate development firm located in Chicago. We invest across multiple asset classes including multifamily and industrial. The firm has investments in Tennessee, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and California. Recently, the firm has acquired several large-scale development sites and plans to develop over 1,000 new multifamily units.
Our firm is looking to add an analyst to the team. An incoming analyst would get in-depth exposure to all aspects of development, from underwriting to negotiating purchase and sale agreements through due diligence, zoning, construction, and ultimately the sale of stabilized properties. This position would receive mentorship from senior members of the team and exposure to the managing partners and owners of the company.
Responsibilities
· Review investment offering memoranda
· Create and manipulate financial models and PowerPoint presentations
· Provide analytical support to the Partners
· Underwrite new opportunities including due diligence, market research, and comparable leasing and sale information
· Prepare memoranda for lenders, investors, and partners
· Coordinate acquisitions and development processes
· Contribute to meetings with potential equity and debt capital partners
· Assist in managing the acquisitions pipeline by staying in touch with sellers and brokers
· Assist in other projects and requests as needed
Qualifications, Skills, Experience
· Minimum overall GPA of 3.7 or higher
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to think critically and work both independently and as part of a team in an entrepreneurial environment
· Self-starter with a high level of intellectual curiosity and motivation
· Highly organized with strong attention to detail
· Construction or development experience a plus, but not required
· Personality that enjoys mentorship and learning
