Job Description

Goedecke & Co., LLC, a boutique commercial real estate finance firm headquartered in Boston, is seeking an Associate Producer to join its production team.  Associate Producers support loan originators across all stages of the origination process in order to gain the experience necessary to provide tailored advisory services to clients of their own.

At Goedecke & Co., LLC, we believe that our partnerships produce greater results for all. We work alongside our clients (lenders and borrowers alike), as an extension of their team, so that each real estate financing that we arrange supports the success of their portfolio as a whole. As an Associate Producer, you will play a key role in nurturing these relationships by maintaining our reputation for high quality work and building relationships of your own.

About the Role
The Associate Producer is an early-career production role designed to develop the next generation of top-producing commercial mortgage brokers. You will be paired with an experienced Producer (your mentor) and immersed in the full lifecycle of commercial real estate financing: sourcing opportunities, structuring loans, creating presentation materials, managing the underwriting and closing process, and building a sustainable client base.

This is a structured growth role. Over a period of approximately 2–3 years, you will progress from a support/learning capacity into a self-sufficient producer who effectively runs your own book of business with the resources and platform of our firm behind you.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Mentorship
  • Work directly with a senior Producer mentor to learn the commercial mortgage brokerage business from the ground up.
  • Participate in a training approach that pairs on-the-job coaching (underwriting, negotiation, lender programs, strategy, etc.) with a team training curriculum focused on sales skill development.
  • Shadow senior team members on client calls, lender meetings, property tours, and transaction negotiations.
Transaction Execution & Deal Support
  • Support the analysis and execution of commercial mortgage and structured finance transactions across property types (multifamily, office, industrial, retail, specialty, etc).
  • Assist with financial modeling and underwriting, including cash flow analysis, debt sizing, sensitivity analysis, and valuation support.
  • Conduct research and prepare loan request packages and other marketing materials.
  • Coordinate due diligence, third-party reports, and closing deliverables with internal and external teams including borrowers, lenders, attorneys, and others.
  • Maintain organized deal files, pipeline reports, and CRM records.
Business Development & Client Service
  • Support your mentor and production team in sourcing new business from existing and prospective clients.
  • Conduct market research and property-level research to identify potential financing opportunities and new client relationships.
  • Draft prospecting communications, help manage follow-up, and participate in pitches and client meetings.
  • Provide responsive, high-quality service to clients, lenders, and partners throughout the financing process.
Progression Toward Independent Production
  • Gradually assume responsibility for originating and managing your own relationships and deals under the guidance of your mentor.
  • Develop a personal business plan that outlines your goals and the strategies and activities necessary to achieve them.
  • Build and maintain a professional network of property owners, developers, investors, lenders, and other market participants.
  • Demonstrate the ability to independently source, structure, and close transactions, progressing toward full Producer responsibilities.
Qualifications

Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or related field (or equivalent analytical or sales experience).
  • 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred (commercial real estate, banking, finance, capital markets, sales, or similar). Strong new graduates with relevant internships also considered.
  • Solid financial and quantitative skills, including comfort with Excel-based analysis and basic financial modeling.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to synthesize complex information clearly and professionally.
  • High level of initiative, resilience, and drive; interest in a sales/production-oriented career path with variable, performance-based compensation over time.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
Preferred
  • Prior exposure to commercial real estate or real estate finance (internships, analyst roles, brokerage, banking, appraisal, etc.).
  • Familiarity with basic real estate metrics (NOI, cap rates, DSCR, LTV, IRR) and loan structures (permanent, bridge, construction, agency, CMBS, etc.).
  • Existing local market knowledge or professional network in commercial real estate.
Success Profile

This role is best suited for someone who:
  • Is entrepreneurial and motivated by the opportunity to develop their own client base.
  • Enjoys both numbers and people—comfortable in Excel, and equally comfortable on the phone or in a conference room.
  • Learns quickly from feedback and mentorship and takes ownership of their development.
  • Thrives in a high-energy, deal-driven environment where priorities can shift quickly.
Career Path & Compensation
  • Phase 1 (Mentorship): Primarily salary-based with commission incentive; heavy emphasis on learning, support, and execution.
  • Phase 2 (Emerging Producer): Increased variable/commission-based compensation as you begin to originate and co-lead transactions.
  • Phase 3 (Producer): Transition to a full production role with primary income driven by your own origination volume, supported by our established brand, platform, and resources.
