Job Overview:

 We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated professional to lead the property management operations of a self-managing owner of 9,500 units of rental housing throughout the Northeast.  This role is responsible for overseeing property management operations, driving operational efficiency, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maximizing property performance and profitability.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee property management operations, including leasing, maintenance, tenant relations, and financial performance
  • Lead, mentor, and manage office staff, property managers, and leasing agents.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve efficiency and service quality
  • Monitor property expenses, financial reports, KPIs and ensure revenue targets and expense controls are met
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal housing regulations and company policies
  • Manage vendor relationships, and monitor accounts payable
 
Qualifications:
  • 7–10+ years of experience in property management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven track record of managing residential and/or commercial portfolios successfully
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth knowledge of property management laws and regulations
  • Experience with property management software (Rent Manager a plus)
