ROLE SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the Asset Management Analyst provides expertise through conducting complex analyses of data and developing related reports and recommendations to support Investments in all its initiatives.


JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support all aspects of Owner/Operator activities, including financial performance analysis, financial modeling, rent pricing evaluations, operations analysis and reporting
  • Assists in underwriting real estate investment opportunities for both asset and corporate level transactions
  • Participates in the annual process for evaluating property budgets and consolidating them for a full portfolio analysis.
  • Participates in the market research and analysis of trends affecting supply/demand, rent strategies and rent growth, operating expenses and the evaluation of competing properties.


SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • Consolidates input to decisions regarding financial performance.
  • Coordinates and executes complex analytical projects
  • Establishes working relationships with internal groups as necessary
  • Develops contacts and working level relationships with external counterparts and consultants
  • Some travel may be required


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Undergraduate degree in a related discipline with top academic credentials
  • CPA, CFA, MBA an asset, but not required
  • 1-2 years of experience in real estate, private equity or institutional-quality investor, in a valuation and/or asset management capacity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling) and Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Experience with Yardi, RealPage, CoStar and other market date sources is a plus.

  • Solid grounding in financial concepts, operational and financial analysis and valuation

  • Ability to adopt an owner’s perspective for operating an individual property as a multi-dimensional business to meet specific investment goals
  • Ability to work well under pressure with multiple or competing deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to develop working relationships with both internal and external clients
  • Basic project management skills
