Senior Property Accountant / Financial Analyst

Job Summary: Quinlan Development Group/Walker Malloy & Co. is seeking an individual responsible for the property level accounting and financial analysis of a portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial assets.

Communication and company culture is vital and the position is in-office five days/week.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and reconcile financial data including general ledger journal entries, consolidations, expense reclassifications, reserve contributions, etc.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial packages and cash flow reports to the executive team, investors and board members
  • Assist in the Preparation and oversee the annual budgets for all managed properties including
  • Responsible for reforecasting and cash flow analyses and projects
  • Assist in providing year-end schedules for audit and tax purposes
  • Review and ensure that all rent step ups, concessions and critical lease data is properly accounted for
  • Provide for mortgage reporting including quarterly and annual certification requirements
  • Reconcile development project requisitions with accounting department and development team
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analyses as needed.
  • Support Asset Management in analyzing projected leasing and recapitalization scenarios.


Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Deep understanding in Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is required
  • Previous experience with Yardi Voyager or Genesis is required
  • Organizational skills, critical thinking, complex problem solving, judgment and decision-making ability
  • Ability to work well in team environment as well as independently. Must be able to identify, plan and prioritize projects and assignments to hit deadlines
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. A CPA certification, MBA or related work experience is a plus
  • Three to five years of experience as an accountant, financial analyst or similar role in the property management industry or real estate field


Salary: $120,000 - $140,000
