Loan Servicing Associate/VP

Company Description Edgewood Capital Advisors, based in Southport, Connecticut, is a private lending firm focused on the origination of bridge loans and the acquisition and financing of distressed real estate debt. Role Description Edgewood Capital Advisors is seeking a candidate with 5+ years of commercial real estate loan servicing experience to assist in the servicing and asset management of a portfolio of commercial mortgage loans. The Loan Servicing Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Southport, CT. This individual contributes to a streamlined servicing experience by prioritizing accuracy, timeliness, and clear communication in all borrower and stakeholder interactions.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare and disseminate monthly mortgage invoices
2. Contact municipalities to confirm real estate tax payments
3. Monitor borrower tax and insurance compliance
4. Analyze proposed property leases for adherence to underwriting and loan documentation
5. Maintain relationships with borrowers and borrower finance professionals to understand leasing, construction and payment status
6. Work with loan originators and the servicing department to monitor asset performance
7. Collaborate with team members on overall management of the portfolio and monthly reporting to senior management
8. Review, evaluate and process construction draw requests as a member of the servicing team

Qualifications

1. Bachelors Degree
2. 5+ years in commercial real estate finance, with a focus on servicing and asset management.
3. Strong communication skills
4. Demonstrated Customer Service and Communication skills, with the ability to address borrower questions and collaborate with colleagues
5. Experience reviewing loan draw requests and executing loan draws once approved
6. Strong Loan Servicing and Mortgage Servicing skills, with experience handling commercial real estate loan portfolios
7. Solid understanding of Loans, including loan documentation, payment processing, and basic credit concepts
8. Attention to detail and organizational skills for managing multiple tasks, deadlines, and data integrity in servicing systems
9. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and loan servicing or financial software platforms
