Job Description

The TP Manager will be involved with various aspects of Transfer Pricing, some of which will be Global and some specific to the Americas' region.  The TP Manager will be a Global TP lead in relation to certain businesses and/or transactions, and a Project lead in relation to shorter-term Planning and Implementation projects.  In addition, the TP Manager also will be responsible for mentoring and developing CBRE's TP Analysts and Senior Analysts.   The position will be based in either in Philadelphia, PA or Los Angeles, CA.  
 
Overall Job Responsibilities: 
 

TP Documentation

Global; for certain businesses/methodologies responsible to

Develop and implement efficient approaches to documentation worldwide

Manage advisors

Identify instances where we could improve efficiency and enhance quality of the documentation; implement these changes

Work with regional leaders to ensure compliance throughout the world

Americas; responsible to

Understand specific local requirements and develop a plan to address these requirements efficiently

Communicate with the relevant businesses, finance and legal teams.

Manage the documentation process including data collection

Delivering documentation on time

 

TP Planning

  1. Global:
    1. Key participant in the TP planning work
    2. Working with businesses to identify planning opportunities, collect information, and communicate possible changes to the management
  2. Americas:
    1. Keeping abreast of developments in tax/transfer pricing regulations, participating in the relevant forums and conferences
    2. Identifying issues and/or opportunities relevant to the local developments. 
    3. Identifying the instances where current TP approaches are not implemented correctly, evaluating the consequences, and taking a lead to develop and implement solutions.
 

TP audit and compliance

Global, in relation to the certain businesses and methodologies:

Overseeing TP audits worldwide

Evaluation of the TP tax contingencies.

Americas:

Responsibility for all TP audits [performed by the auditors, tax authorities, etc.] 

Review and approval of

CBRE responses to the information requests.

Americas' Information used for global TP reporting, including the Country by Country documentation, US Form 5471, Local Documentation etc.

Assist in quarterly and annual provision process to ensure transfer pricing is being appropriately considered

 

TP Implementation

For certain Global TP Methodologies

Overseeing consistency in implementation and ensuring that they are supported by legal agreements and are implemented properly.

Working with Legal to create model templates for new TP methodologies

Understanding where TP is implemented for management purposes, and the impact of Management TP on the legal entities.

Suggesting improvements to the current process and implementing these improvements

Keeping up-to-date documentation to support the calculations relevant for the Region.

Working with global TP and finance teams to ensure global TP policies are consistently applied

America's

Building network of the Americas' CBRE TP stakeholders, including Finance, Treasury, Legal, Operations and Management.

Collaborating effectively across TP stakeholders and communicating the transfer pricing policy and handling inquiries from these teams.

Understanding specific Legal requirements in Americas and working with Legal to create modified local templates where necessary.

Establishing, monitoring and improving TP processes and governance

 

Breakdown of Functional Tax Areas:

 

TP Documentation: 30%

TP Planning: 25%

TP Implementation 25%

TP Audit and Compliance: 20%

  • Comfortable with working in a 'long distance' team environment and managing people remotely
  • Time-management skills, ability to produce deliverables on time with minimal oversight
  • Minimum 6 years of finance/tax experience working with a large multinational company, Big 4 or a similar firm.  Graduate degree can count towards this experience.
  • Exposure to Transfer pricing for at least 4 years.
  • Ability to perform and document various TP analyses
  • Knowledge of the U.S. and OECD TP requirements
  • Understanding of financial accounting and an ability to analyze and understand financial statements.
  • Experience with FIN 48 and corporate tax reporting.
  • Experience with economic and financial modeling techniques.
Travel:         Approximately 10- 20%
