Responsibilities:
This position is for Assistant Project Manager. Experience in real estate development is not necessary but is a plus. Candidates must be comfortable using Microsoft Office software.
Tasks may include:
- Creating and tracking budget and expenses
- Organizing and maintaining project files
- Attending, construction, finance and design meetings and preparing notes and materials
- Interacting with a wide variety of vendors and stakeholders including contractors, architects and tenants
- Assisting with project proformas and other quantitative analysis
- Manage project team for small construction projects
- Assist in property management
The position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as persistence, perseverance and patience. Candidate should be a creative problem-solver capable of fostering cordial and professional relationships with team members from diverse disciplines. Candidate must have a four year college degree from an accredited institution, preferably in urban planning, architecture, engineering, public policy, finance or related field. Knowledge of New York City and a demonstrated interest in real estate development a plus.
Projects:
The Assistant Project Manager would work on a variety of real estate developments including affordable and market rate rental housing located primarily in Brooklyn. This position is based out Downtown Brooklyn.
