Position Description

ASSOCIATE/MANAGER, FINANCIAL PLANNING & ANALYSIS: We are seeking an individual with a background in financial planning and analysis, or similar accounting or corporate finance roles, preferably with experience in the real estate industry. This individual will perform budgeting, monthly financial reviews, budget versus actual analysis, financial modeling, and will produce and present monthly and/or quarterly reporting of all the aforementioned items to senior management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze the financial performance of the properties and portfolios.
  • Maintain, update and analyze property valuation files including detailed review of 3rd party appraisals and related property information.
  • Organize and participate in the preparation and review of annual property operating budgets
  • Prepare monthly and/or quarterly reporting packages for senior management on budget vs. actual performance
  • Interface with lenders, equity partners, legal, and other third-party vendors.

Qualifications

  • Must have 5 years related experience in a financial planning and analysis role or similar accounting/corporate finance role
  • Strong finance, modeling and analytical abilities
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting (real estate industry experience a strong plus)
  • Strong cash flow and partnership structure modeling experience
  • Ability to effectively multitask and prioritize
  • BS/BA degree from an accredited college/university with a strong academic or work background in financial analysis, mathematics, accounting
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word skills required
