Title: Asset Manager for a Multifamily Syndication Company
Location: Washington DC / Baltimore / Atlanta

The Asset Manager will report to the COO and be responsible for the below, as well as other tasks related to the job.
Responsibilities:
- This job will build property level operational strategies and oversee capital projects or other investment factors impacting asset value.
- Interface with property management and construction teams to carry out capital improvement plans on time and below budget.
- Manage 3rd party leasing teams to creatively find new tenants and engage existing tenancy.
- Review monthly operating reports and monitor performance including budget variances and changes to cash flow projections.
- Tracking various portfolio level metrics.
- Perform complex financial analyses including cash flow projections, valuation models, and sensitivity analyses in Excel.
- Assist in all aspects of portfolio operations including property management activities and budgeting, monitoring operational performance and formulating long term asset plans and strategies.
- Produce and maintain cash flow models using Excel to continuously evaluate asset valuations.
- Working with 3rd parties to complete dispositions and refinances of existing assets.
- Develop and implement property level strategies including hold/refinance/sell recommendations.
- Acquisitions due diligence and audits
- Work with investor relations on an ad hoc basis
- Various ad hoc projects as necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Real Estate preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a multifamily real estate related role – preferably asset management on the principal side.
- Proficient level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively communicate in writing and orally
- Ability to self-manage, high attention to detail and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Self-starter who works well within a close-knit team.
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively under tight deadlines

Other Skills and Abilities:
Ideal candidates will have a proven history of being self-motivated, highly organized, open communicators who are eager to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with limited formal structure. This position will have a focus on asset management, problem solving, and financial analysis. Additionally, this role will have exposure to acquisitions, construction, and property management. There is also opportunity to grow to a director as we scale.
