Overview:

Avison Young is seeking a Financial Analyst in the Chicago office for one of the firms leading Capital Markets teams focusing on Industrial, Medical Office and Office real estate. The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree or graduate degree in real estate and/or finance. The work is fast-paced, and the candidate must be detail-oriented and have excellent skills using Excel and Argus software for real estate investment analysis. The Financial Analyst works with senior level professionals from this high-profile team within an organization where management is approachable and transparent to help each, and every person succeeds not only individually, but also as a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed financial analysis of commercial real estate using Argus Enterprise and Excel
• Assist in creating broker opinions of value, marketing flyers & offering memoranda
• Assist in due diligence, including comprehensive review of historical financials, loan documents, leases and environmental reports
• Assist with the closing process including reviewing and summarizing Letters of Intent and Purchase & Sale Agreements
• Interact with clients on various issues, including answering financial questions and conducting property tours
• Assist in marketing to buyers or sellers (once licensed)

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate and/or finance
• 3 years prior experience preferred
• Proficient in Excel and Argus Software
• Demonstrate skills in real estate investment analytics
