Job Description:

This position is focused on the coordination and communication amongst multiple parties to ensure the timely and efficient closing of commercial real estate financings for self storage and commercial properties throughout the U.S. The role requires direct interaction with clients, capital providers, legal counsel (borrower and lender), escrow/title officers, insurance agents, and others.

 

In addition, the loan administrator will organize and participate on weekly transaction calls for business under application, including construction, bridge, permanent, mezzanine debt, and joint venture equity. The position is responsible for maintaining internal quality standards with respect to complete, accurate, and organized transaction files. The loan administrator will work directly with all members of the Talonvest team in a client-focused, high energy, collaborative environment and will be cross-trained in underwriting.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Communicate with clients, lenders, counsel, etc. responding promptly to inquiries and coordinating all relevant information to ensure timely loan closings.
  • Clearly understand Talonvest s process for closing loans and working effectively with clients.
  • Proficient listening and accumulating knowledge so that the due diligence and closing process for a specific transaction/client are well addressed.
  • Schedule loan kick-off and subsequent weekly status update calls; write call summary notes and communicate the recap to all involved parties.
  • Coordinate appraisal and other third-party reports (as needed), ensure timely delivery of required information to appraisers.
  • Manage information flow in Drop Box for internal and external parties on the transaction.
  • Post-closing client follow up including delivery of third-party reports, resolving any initial servicing issues, and addressing any other remaining items.
  • Update and manage Talonvest s internal electronic transaction and DRE files maintaining complete information and consistent presentation.

Qualifications, Skills, & Knowledge:

  • Well organized, service-oriented individual who enjoys working in a team environment.
  • Ability to skillfully manage multiple assignments and priorities.
  • Optimist having a professional demeanor and excellent organization skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with a desire to proactively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Associate or Bachelor s degree or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • Real estate license will be required within six months of employment.
