Description
Our client is a multi-$billion financial services institution in New York City. They are looking to fill an Associate Director or Director level position which will be responsible for structuring new issue Real Estate Finance deals, price CMBS mortgage loans and assist in managing risk in coordination with the broader Capital Markets team.
Responsibilities:
- Structure / model cash flows for CMBS and provide new ideas to maximize execution
- Manage models that maintain pricing
- Coordinate with CRE bankers to price new loans for CMBS securitization
- Provide hedging strategy and monitor hedging activities at the loan and portfolio level
- Assist in running and reporting of daily P&L and mark loans on a daily basis
- Manage relationship with other dealers, accountants and attorneys during the new issue cycle
- Coordinate with Sales, Research, and other organizations across Markets and Securities Services and the broader business
- Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding the bank, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- 3-8 years of experience in a related role
- Knowledge of CMBS or other securitized products
- Familiarity with cash flow models like Intex, Trepp and Bloomberg
- Advanced analytical and numerical competency
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Effective interpersonal skills to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to analyze and pitch situations and determine suitable counterparties
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
