Erithmitic (dba Bridgeton Capital) is a VC-backed fintech platform reimagining commercial real estate (CRE) lending with software and data. Founded in 2021 by a seasoned team of CRE mortgage lenders, technologists and entrepreneurs, we’re on a mission to deliver reliable service and fairly priced loans to broker/borrowers through a tech-enabled experience. Bridgeton Capital will rebrand to Erithmitic later this year. We’re growing quickly and seeking a senior analyst/associate for our Credit Investment team.


ABOUT THE ROLE

The analyst/associate will be responsible for thoroughly evaluating potential loans and managing the logistics of the closing process with oversight from senior members of the credit investment and originations team. The individual will serve as the lead contact and play a critical role at all stages of the loan origination process as well maintain involvement in subsequent asset management initiatives. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.


YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Underwrite and analyze potential loan opportunities across various asset classes.

  • Detailed financial modeling, focusing on property level analysis of institutional real estate, as well as loan cash flows, structure, and credit metrics.

  • Coordinate due diligence and closing processes; manage communications and relationships with borrowers, brokers, investors, attorneys and other relevant third parties.

  • Manage the preparation of the investment committee and credit memorandums detailing the investment opportunity and due diligence findings.

  • Review & evaluate borrower financials, net worth, and liquidity info to determine sponsor credit worthiness.

  • Identify & effectively communicate the major risks associated with an investment opportunity.

  • Prepare and review term sheets.

  • Assist the team with any ad-hoc investment related processes, including underwriting, diligence, credit approval and loan financing, as well as various ad-hoc special projects, investor relations and asset management initiatives.


WHY WE WANT YOU

  • 1 to 3 years of commercial real estate investment or investment banking experience.

  • Experience with structured debt transactions and underwriting.

  • Prior experience in due diligence and closing processes on commercial loans.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify key risks, recognize opportunities and effectively problem solve.

  • Understanding of the fundamentals of real estate valuation, finance, and accounting, including property-level due diligence, real estate law and construction.

  • Demonstrated high-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel with the ability to build and audit formulas.

  • Self-motivated and team-oriented, with strong time mgmt skills and ability to prioritize deadlines.

  • Strong ability to accomplish objectives under limited supervision.
