Description


Blokable is a real estate developer focused on the creation of multifamily properties utilizing a unique, vertically integrated modular development business model. The Acquisition & Development Analyst will be a critical part of the company’s growing Real Estate Team and support all phases of acquisition and ground-up development for our development projects (e.g., research, underwriting, site selection, due diligence, financial analysis, transactions, and investment packages).

The role will be accountable for developing and fostering relationships internally and externally across multiple development partnerships and projects. Our ideal candidate is an individual who is driven to support our vision of making quality housing attainable for everyone.  

Areas of Strategic Focus:

  • Work with the leadership team to provide due diligence information and feasibility analysis of potential property acquisitions
  • Establish and manage development project timelines, and work across Blokable teams to manage time and budget obligations
  • Coordinate and communicate with third-party professionals (i.e., architects and engineers) to articulate project scope, develop cost and time estimates, and oversee contract logistics, including drafting terms
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to secure the appropriate approvals, certifications, and permits, from the city and other government agencies as required
  • Manage project documents and progress, including discretionary and nondiscretionary approvals, agency releases/declarations/determinations, easements, covenants, tract maps, construction documents, A/E design, and engineering plans and specifications, contracts/change orders, and closeout documentation
  • Execute and maintain project contracts in accordance with department and company requirements

Specific functions and responsibilities:

  • Support the expansion of a robust pipeline of properties and projects that fall within our criteria, including site reconnaissance, property inquiries, and broker relationships
  • Work across real estate, product, and production team on-site pre-development, civil engineering issues, site constructability, and site conditions analysis
  • Collaborate in the day-to-day management of development projects, including the oversight of property due diligence and project design contractors and consultants

Skills / Competencies:

  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Excellent computer skills, with an emphasis in Excel
  • Working comprehension of development and operating budgets
  • Good organizational and research skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and continually prioritize tasks
