RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision, performs basic Laboratory Technical Services (LTS) functions that support the customers research and development community. Services can include but are not limited to: daily system checks, user calibrations, reagent preparation, material/supply staging.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for vendor work orders and associated invoicing and collections in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Responds to technical and service status customer inquiries by phone and/or email communications, as needed. Connects appropriate SMEs with customers to resolve/answer concerns.
Prepares vendor repair/install cost estimates for customers.
Performs accounting duties, which include preparing estimates, invoicing, balancing accounts, and reconciling functions.
Oversees and assigns workflow priorities based upon customer requirements.
Processes inbound lab equipment into inventory.
Arranges and provides 3rd Party Vendor lab escorting services as required.
Assists in autoclaving and lab dishwashing services.
Tracks and prepares lab waste for proper disposal.
Performs other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate degree in a technical field preferred. Minimum one year related experience or equivalent work experience.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES
Experience with Desktop publishing, Microsoft Office Suite and Online Help.
