This role is best suited for someone who wants to work hard, get hands-on experience, and learn how to perform at an institutional level without the bureaucracy of a large corporation. You’ll work side by side with the team’s founders (JD/MBA with high-level development experience) and be a part of important decisions early on in your career. You will work with lenders, development managers, architects, accountants, general contractors, and other disciplines to build and better serve your primary client base of development sponsors, syndicators, fund managers, high net worth investors, and institutional investors.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor key metrics and news, including tracking new development projects, loan maturity dates, significant sales, occupancy rates and rental rates, at various levels from national down to submarket-specific
  • Recruit and manage additional team members as necessary to fulfill service obligations from new business
  • Evaluate client needs for initial business development purposes
  • Complete comprehensive analysis, prepare for, and present strategic and tactical plans for engaged clients
  • Facilitate a seamless processing of Letters of Intent (LOI) through lease execution, providing crucial support to less experienced team members who are working deals with you.
  • Support and manage the negotiation and execution of representation and commission agreements.
  • Drive the reporting process for the team to internal stakeholders and key clients.
  • Maintain effective communication with property managers, construction companies, lawyers, asset managers and other relevant parties in the industry.
  • Develop your own client list through various prospecting methods, including in-bound marketing (email, social media, etc.), cold calling, and attending networking events.
  • Regularly meet clients where they are. Save them time, make them money.
  • Analyze properties and provide insights to the team and your clients.
  • Assist with the development of marketing strategies for the team and client assignments, including the creation of templates, flyers, e-blasts, and social media plans.
  • Prepare weekly client updates and monthly reports for internal and external uses.
  • Assist brokers for assets beyond your core scope – cross-functional experience will propel your understanding of the industry and make you a better advisor.
  • Meet deadlines set by management and ownership, demonstrating a strong commitment to completing tasks promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or another relevant area. Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Real estate license (FL preferred, but other state licenses will be considered)
  • 5+ years of quality commercial real estate experience
  • General understanding of all key metrics and the industry as a whole
  • Must be a team player who thrives on the success of others and leads by example
