Working with us, you will:

  • Serve as the engineering leader through all stages of a project of any size and plays a progressive role supporting management of the department
  • Lead and perform analysis, design and documentation of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and controls
  • Lead and perform analysis, design and documentation of plumbing and fire protection systems and controls
  • Assist in establishing project goals, budgets and schedules, track project performance, and follow/enforce quality control procedures
  • Meet with clients, project teams, code officials, contractors, and others to address mechanical discipline issues and to develop effective working relationships
  • Present engineering design solutions to client representative and/or design review committees
  • Serve as mechanical systems specialist, conduct research in problem areas of considerable scope/complexity and devises solutions
  • Contribute to project sustainable design initiatives by using a variety of software to perform energy, heating and cooling load and computational fluid dynamic calculations
  • Mentor junior and intermediate level staff and participate in performance coaching
  • Participate in the recruitment and interviewing process as requested

An ideal candidate has:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Architectural Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum 10 years of experience working as a mechanical engineer designing HVAC, plumbing, fire suppression, sustainable design, and automatic control systems, including experience performing energy models
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration required; LEED AP preferred
  • The ability to lead and mentor others in area of expertise
  • Working knowledge of the design and construction process and the ability to understand and communicate with professionals of other disciplines
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Revit software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in dealing with internal and external clients
