Job Description

Position Summary:
The Senior Associate - Development will support the Development department and report to the Senior Vice President of Development. The position will involve assisting in managing various aspects of development through the entire project lifecycle across multiple categories of assets. Opportunities will include roles on new ground-up development, repositionings, as well as CapEx/project improvement plans. The role requires effective coordination, administrative support, and project tracking to ensure timely and quality delivery of development objectives. Assets and developments covered will include condo, hospitality, gaming/entertainment, multi-family, resort, food and beverage. Opportunity to be directly involved as a key development team member on a large suite of live projects throughout South Florida with direct exposure to Development Department lead.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assist in coordinating with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Support in preparing and maintaining development schedules and development budgets.
  • Prepare financial and business case analysis throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Prepare market studies throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings, and document detailed minutes.
  • Assist in analysis of design documents and construction scopes for compliance with project goals.
  • Assist in contract negotiation and processes. Includes consultant and business contracts.
  • Assist with coordination and communication across internal Fontainebleau departments to align project deliverables. This includes legal, sales, construction, finance and accounting departments.
  • Support the Development Team leaders in administrative tasks and documentation.
  • Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Development on a regular basis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree in real estate, business or urban planning is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in development, acquisitions, or design management.
  • Experience in South Florida and/or New York development.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficiency creating or managing development budgets and/or underwriting models.
  • Understanding of the design process and some experience managing design consultants.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
