Role Summary

As an Investment Analyst, you’ll partner with both the Acquisitions and Asset Management teams to underwrite new debt and equity investments, monitor existing assets, and drive value‑creation initiatives across the portfolio. You’ll build and maintain complex financial models, conduct market research, assist with due diligence, and prepare materials for internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Modeling & Underwriting
o    Build, maintain, and stress‑test detailed Excel models for loan originations, preferred equity investments, acquisitions, dispositions, refinancing, and asset‑level budgeting
 
 o   Underwrite new debt and equity investment opportunities by analyzing investment cash flows, IRRs, MOIC, DSCR, sensitivity and scenario analyses
 
Market Research & Site Due Diligence 
  • Conduct in‑depth submarket research (supply/demand, rent/sales comps, new development pipelines) both “desk‑side” and via site visits
  • Coordinate third‑party due diligence: loan document review, lease audits, environmental, engineering and market studies
 Reporting & Investor Materials 
  • Prepare and present investment memoranda, asset‑level business plans, quarterly lender/investor reports, and investment committee materials
  • Drive development of dashboards and standardized templates for portfolio performance tracking and deal pipeline management
Asset Management Support 
  • Prepare and monitor loan servicing statements, property budgets, track actuals vs. forecasts 
  • Assist in capital project coordination and oversight 
  • Abstract and summarize key clauses from leases, loan agreements, and joint venture documents to ensure compliance both as a borrower and lender 
Required Qualifications and Abilities
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a rigorous real estate, structured finance, or investment banking environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Accounting, Engineering or Math
  • Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; experience with Power BI and ARGUS a plus
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative credit analysis and research abilities, with high attention to detail
  • Strong demonstrated knowledge of accounting concepts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Proactive problem‑solver who can manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Passion for real estate investing via both debt and equity
  • Travel required up to 25% with overnight stay
