RealtyShares is seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Representative to join our dynamic team as we continue to create the leading tech-enabled real estate investment platform. In this role you will join a team focused on sourcing and nurturing operator relationships, and from those relationships introducing potential real estate transactions to the platform. Learning and understanding how Sponsors think, act, and invest is paramount to your success in this position. The tech-enabled investing space for real estate is still new, so you will need to craft effective, education-based sales messaging with your team and distribute that message through coordinated outbound sales campaigns and other forms of outreach. You are quick on your feet and possess the drive to become an expert in handling operator relationships. This role provides an outstanding opportunity for motivated individuals with ambitious career goals who want to have an impact on changing the real estate landscape forever and are excited by the prospect of building relationships with hundreds of operators, as well as being immersed in deal flow in the thousands. You will have the opportunity to:
    • Play a critical role in growing RealtyShares industry leading commercial real estate tech-enabled syndication platform
    • Drive the revenue of the company by being part of a team growing the pipeline of qualified real estate sponsors/operators and commercial real estate debt and equity investment opportunities
    • Help develop pitch strategy and approach for active and passive sourcing channels
    • Work in conjunction with the marketing team to create and execute outreach
    • Grow your personal and professional network through in-market business development, conference attendance, and other active efforts
    • Help drive strategic/programmatic partnership channels for operator and/or transaction flow
We are seeking someone with:
    • Bachelor s degree with strong academic track record and professional credentials
    • 5-7 years experience in sales or business development
    • 2+ years experience in commercial real estate
    • Clear and concise communication skills with a natural ability to ask for and close the sale
    • Proven ability to adapt quickly and appropriately to meet target goals in a high-paced environment
    • Passion for our product and mission
    • Expert knowledge with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • Experience with Salesforce or similar advanced sales automation tools preferred
