Description
Electrician, GCBC
o Responsible for identifying and correcting deficiencies, including Electrical and Plumbing projects and all maintenance items related to the Preventive maintenance on all Electrical and Plumbing related equipment. Plans, organizes and directs employees, and preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with the policies, procedures, standards and practices set by the Walt Disney Company. Manages all maintenance personnel and oversees repair and construction efforts as directed by the Account Manager.
Responsibilities
Oversee all work related to Electrical and manage the technicians overseeing the work
Provide preventive and corrective maintenance on all the Electrical equipment
Participate in planning and design review related to capital and special projects.
Review preliminary site/building plans for accuracy and scope of detail.
Survey existing site conditions; prepare drawings and reports.
Assist in bids and contract awards for construction projects.
Plan, schedule and organize material deliveries, equipment and manpower to ensure maintenance and repairs are conducted in a timely and cost effective manner.
Manage vendors performing work at Disney sites.
Supervision of all maintenance and testing work.
Assist maintenance staff with troubleshooting problems when required.
Select vendor services and products related to operations and verify their adherence to contractual provisions, job schedules and regulatory specifications.
Ensure all required licenses and operating permits are obtained and maintained and that local, state and federal regulations are followed in all mechanical disciplines.
Responsibility of the property during off-hours emergencies.
Identify innovative alternatives to improve efficiency of operations.
Manage other related projects and programs as assigned
Required Skills
BS Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of technical training and work experience.
Have the Electrical license per the AHJ State of California License for Electrical.
Trained in Arc flash testing
Strong understanding of facility related functions
Strong managerial and organizations skills
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
PC literate, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel programs
Ability to manage
