Description
About Us
Marcus & Millichap Company (MMC) is a real estate leader and pioneer with a diverse family of companies offering Premier Real Estate Estate Services, Real Estate Investments and Real Estate Developments. Each MMC company is a distinct fusion of real estate specialization and innovation powered by a culture of loyalty that permeates throughout the Marcus & Millichap organization.
The Program
The Associate Rotation Program, known internally as the “Ventures Group”, is the predominant entry point to MMC and its subsidiaries for recent MBAs. Associates in the Group have a unique opportunity to explore various functions within the real estate industry (including acquisitions, development, marketing, asset management, and finance), and to work for companies that focus on a variety of sectors (office, retail, multifamily, and single family) before committing to a specific position. Venture Associates generally begin with a rotation in the holding company (MMC) followed by rotations in selected subsidiaries. Rotation assignments are based on corporate needs as well as, to the extent possible, the Associates' interests. Associates complete, on average, three to six rotations of four to six months each before being placed in one of our companies. Positions are based on mutual fit and interest and may occur throughout the rotation cycles.
While rotating, an Associate’s responsibilities may include preparing investment packages, conducting due diligence on potential acquisitions or development deals, assessing market opportunities and feasibility for new business ventures and strategies, assisting in project-level financing, and many other challenging assignments, as required.
While in the Program, Associates will have opportunities to meet and interact with senior management, participate in investment committee meetings, and gain first-hand exposure to various subsidiary companies. Associates are encouraged to plan social outings with one another in order to network and share experiences with colleagues throughout the organization.
Geography
Associates will typically start in the Company’s Palo Alto headquarters. Rotations are in both our Silicon Valley and East Bay offices.
