Hudson Capital Properties (“HCP”) is seeking a talented and highly motivated individual to join its team of asset managers. HCP acquires, develops, owns, and manages a portfolio of multifamily assets totaling approximately 7,000 units valued at $1 billion. The HCP asset manager role will be based in our growing Raleigh office and will provide analytical and asset management support on a portfolio of multifamily real estate equity investments. - Manage a portfolio of 10-15 multifamily assets, which includes business plan execution, maintaining internal asset valuation models, regular reporting, oversight of third-party service providers, capital plan oversight, and disposition of assets
- Prepare and maintain property and portfolio valuations using financial models
- Review weekly and monthly reporting packages to evaluate variances and trends in operating income and expenses by analyzing rent rolls, leases, operating statements, budgets, and appraisals
- Develop relationships and effective lines of communication with colleagues and third parties (e.g. investors, management, property managers, leasing agents, attorneys and loan servicers)
- Implement action steps and strategies to maximize the value of the assets
- Regularly perform site inspections of assigned investments
- Assist in due diligence and underwriting on potential commercial real estate equity investments
- Conduct in-depth market and submarket analyses to formulate asset strategies
- Assist with asset disposition efforts which include writing investment committee memorandums, finalizing disposition models, calculating waterfall returns, and transaction management
- The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate (or advanced) degree, an impressive background of academic or professional achievement, and two to five years of real estate asset management experience
- Intellectually curious individuals with exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- A passion for performance optimization, and a proven record of building real estate models and data analytics and basic construction knowledge
- Strong creative problem-solving skills with unwavering attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial spirit and an avid self-starter
- Interpersonal skills: This is required for establishing and maintaining relationships with relevant parties (management, investors, property managers, lenders, construction teams)
