MDH Partners, LLC (“MDH”) is an entrepreneurial firm started in 2005 by former executives of M.D. Hodges, one of the leading developers of industrial properties in metro Atlanta from the 1960’s through the early 2000’s. In 2014, MDH began a joint venture with a major institutional partner to invest $200+ million of equity by acquiring and developing industrial buildings throughout the Southeastern U.S. The JV successfully acquired more than 100 buildings totaling 14 million square feet of space, spread across 8 states. We ultimately sold the entire JV portfolio to an affiliate of The Blackstone Group in late 2018, realizing a very substantial profit for our investors. SUMMARY

MDH is seeking a candidate interested in learning about all facets of the commercial real estate industry, from the perspective of an owner/developer in the industrial sector. This is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to, and participate in, the management (and growth) of an institutional-quality operating portfolio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities of the position will include (but not be limited to):

• Maintaining financial models in Argus and Excel
• Ensuring integrity of critical Asset Management data/information
• Assisting asset manager(s) with various leasing-related tasks
• Conducting ad-hoc analysis to support day-to-day decision making (especially leasing)
• Coordinating the preparation and review of annual property budgets
• Assisting the Finance team with preparation of fund-level quarterly reporting packages
• Assembling other report packages to satisfy ongoing partner and lender requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of commercial real estate and finance concepts
• Basic familiarity with financial accounting concepts
• Solid Excel modeling skills; familiarity with Argus software
• Experience with Microsoft Access (or other relational databases) desired, but not required
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

We expect to interview primarily candidates with 0-2 years of professional experience. If you are either (i) a recent college graduate with an exceptional academic record and demonstrated modeling proficiency (in an academic setting), or (ii) a junior financial analyst looking to gain experience “on the ownership side” of commercial real estate, we would encourage you to apply.

HOURS

The analyst will be expected to work some overtime hours, to be available for evening and some weekend work as needed, and to respond to requests promptly asking, if necessary, for specific guidance on deadlines.
