The Professionals’ Choice for Real Estate Jobs

No Satisfaction

In 1987, 61% of workers were satisfied with their careers. By 2014, 52.3%, more than half of all workers reported being unsatisfied with their jobs. Boston’s NPR News suggested that the belief that career satisfaction comes when you “follow your passion” may be misleading. Bestselling author Gretchen Rubin has argued: what you do every day matters more than what you do once in a while. According to the 2015 SelectLeaders Hiring Trends Survey Report, 2014 was the pivotal moment when real estate companies recognized that it was no longer sustainable to run so lean. Hiring increased reducing the workload. However computers have continually changed how we work since the happiness high of 1987. No one can escape reports, mind numbing analysis, and data entry; it is a part of what everyone does nearly every day. But companies that ignite the passion, and articulate the end game, why you are doing all that mind-numbing work, is probably what separates the 47.7% satisfied workers.
