The Professionals’ Choice for Real Estate Jobs

When Data Manages You

“Data Is Now the New Middle Manager” according to the WSJ, and often in online companies, senior manager too. The old role of management was to gather information and make decisions. This role has been usurped by transparency of information, dashboards, and the ability to run queries and reports, so every employee can monitor progress to any goal. This week I sat in meetings with employers and realized, it is not enough to query where a company’s hires come from, but where their most successful hires come from. Forcing a query that razor-sharp defines success in a few keywords. And the HR people we spoke with can do this. Beyond the query, a candidate’s corporate culture fit, unique capabilities, charisma, and work ethic, which set people apart, will be in the hands of HR Directors and Management to assess. Interestingly, the query would be very different for different companies. One would expect that a hire that fits a company’s definition of success would stay longer and thrive in their most productive environment increasing the company’s ROI, and the new employee’s satisfaction with SelectLeaders Real Estate Job Network.
