The Solutions Associate will work alongside the Global Head of Investor Services and Solutions, and the group s lead Global Portfolio Strategist for Global Real Asset Solutions, within CBRE Global Investors $100+ Billion AUM Real Assets investment platform.
The Investor Services and Solutions team has responsibility for business development, client relationship management, and Global Real Assets Solutions portfolio design for institutional and high net worth investors globally, including pension funds, endowments/foundations, insurance companies, and sovereign wealth funds.
The Associate will assist with:
The development of custom proposals for investors with recommendations for their Real Assets allocations, including investments across real estate and infrastructure through both debt and equity structures, and private and public market executions
The expansion of CBRE Global Investors data and analytical capabilities for Real Assets portfolio design, including working closely with the platform s Quantitative Research team within the Global Strategy & Research group, as well as the Global Analytics group, on bespoke data projects designed to increase the history, transparency, and consistency of performance time series for various Real Asset categories
The automation of certain portfolio modeling and client proposal processes, in order to reduce development time and increase accuracy and efficiency
The execution of competitor analyses to understand the positioning of other offerings in the marketplace, including other Solutions programs for Real Assets and other Alternatives
Research on portfolio allocations of institutional investors globally, in order to better understand their investment preferences, needs and objectives
Other strategic planning and development projects related to the growth and expansion of CBRE Global Investors
In helping to expand CBRE Global Investors Real Assets Solutions capabilities, the Associate will be working to help answer the following types of questions from investors:
What is the right allocation between core and enhanced return exposures?
Between real estate, infrastructure and other real asset categories?
Between strategic, long-term exposures and tactical, near-term opportunities?
2-5 years work experience in relevant investment management discipline
Undergraduate or graduate concentration in finance, economics, or related field, with a strong preference for computer science and mathematics coursework as well
Excellent quantitative skills, including interest/experience in portfolio construction and asset allocation methodologies
Foreign language skills and/or international study, travel, or other experience a significant plus
Experience in management consulting and/or strategic planning a plus
Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word including the ability to write macros in Excel
Computer programming skills a significant plus (VBA, SQL, Python, etc.)
